Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 4, 2026
Last Updated: September 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Onyx Rose Advisors, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Wi-Fi Sign Generator website at wifi-signs.grocky.net (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described below.
If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the Service.
1. The short version
We do not collect, store, or transmit anything you type into the Service. The network name, password, logo, colors, and text you enter are processed entirely inside your browser by a program that runs on your device. There is no account, no database, no analytics, and no cookies set by us.
The only information that leaves your device is the ordinary web-request data your browser sends to any website in order to load it (see Section 3), and that goes to our hosting provider, not to a system we operate ourselves.
2. Who we are
The Service is operated by Onyx Rose Advisors, LLC, a Virginia limited liability company. You can reach us using the details in Section 13.
The Wi-Fi Sign Generator is a tool for making printable Wi-Fi QR code signs. We do not operate your network, store your credentials, or host the signs you make. The Service replaces writing your password on a sticky note; it does not need to know your password to do that, and it doesn't.
3. Information we handle
3.1 Information that stays on your device
When you use the Service, you may enter:
- Network credentials: your Wi-Fi network name (SSID), password, and security type.
- Design choices: accent and background colors, the ornament style, and any custom heading, tagline, or footer text.
- A logo image: an image file you optionally choose from your device.
All of this is read and processed by code running in your browser. None of it is sent to us or to any third party. It is held only in your browser's memory while the page is open and is discarded when you close or reload the page. It is not written to cookies, local storage, or any other persistent browser storage.
The signs you download (SVG, PNG, or PDF) are generated on your device and saved wherever you choose. We never receive a copy.
3.2 Information collected automatically by our hosting provider
The Service is a static website delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. Like any website, loading it means your browser sends a request that includes:
- your IP address;
- your browser's user-agent string;
- the page and files requested (the HTML page, stylesheet, scripts, and the WebAssembly program), along with timing information.
Cloudflare processes this information to deliver the site, protect it from abuse, and produce aggregate traffic statistics for us. We do not run our own server-side logging, and we do not receive individual request logs from Cloudflare in the normal course of operating the Service. Cloudflare's handling of this data is described in its own privacy policy.
3.3 Information we do not collect
- We do not have accounts, so we do not collect names, email addresses, or passwords for the Service.
- We do not collect your Wi-Fi credentials, logos, or the signs you generate.
- We do not use analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or tracking pixels.
- We do not process payments and do not collect card or bank information.
- We do not collect health, biometric, or precise location data.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children (see Section 8).
4. How we use information
Because we do not collect personal information ourselves, there is little to use. To the extent our hosting provider processes request data on our behalf, it is used only to:
- deliver the Service to your browser;
- protect the Service from abuse, such as denial-of-service attacks;
- show us aggregate, non-identifying traffic counts.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use anything from the Service to train machine-learning models.
5. Service providers
We rely on the following third-party provider to operate the Service:
| Provider | Purpose | Data processed |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Static hosting, content delivery, DNS, and DDoS protection | IP address, user agent, requested URLs, request timing |
That is the full list. The Service loads no fonts, scripts, or other resources from any other domain.
The Service links to the source-code repository on GitHub. If you follow that link, you leave the Service and GitHub's privacy policy applies.
6. How we share information
We have no user data to share. If we were ever legally compelled to produce information about the Service, the only information that could exist is the request data held by our hosting provider as described in Section 3.2.
We do not share information with advertisers, and we do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We set no cookies and use no local storage, session storage, or other browser storage. Our hosting provider may, in limited circumstances such as when it detects abusive traffic, set a strictly necessary security cookie on its own behalf; we do not read or use such cookies.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Because nothing entered into the Service is transmitted to us, a child using it does not send us any personal information. If you believe we have somehow received a child's information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Data retention
We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. Anything you enter is discarded by your browser when you leave the page. Request data processed by our hosting provider is retained according to that provider's policies.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the use of personal information about you. Because we do not hold any personal information about users of the Service, there is nothing for us to produce, correct, or delete. If you believe otherwise, contact us (Section 13) and we will respond within 30 days.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act.
Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland: to the extent our hosting provider's processing of request data on our behalf is subject to the GDPR or equivalent law, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in delivering and securing the Service. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
The strongest privacy control is in your hands: because the Service is open source and runs entirely in the browser, you can inspect exactly what it does, or run your own copy offline.
11. Security
The Service is delivered over HTTPS, so the page and program your browser receives cannot be read or altered in transit. Because your credentials never leave your device, the main security consideration is physical: a printed sign gives anyone who can see or photograph it access to your network. Display signs only where you are comfortable with that.
Downloaded sign files also contain your network password. Treat them the way you would treat the password itself.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post a notice on the Service and update the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
